Great tips! I have one more: if you have a toddler, try to incorporate a wagon or stroller into his/her costume. When we took our one-year-old out last year, we dressed him as a polar bear, and I turned his wagon into a snowy/water "habitat". He fell asleep after the second house, so rather than carry around a snoozing child, we just towed him in the wagon for a little while and enjoyed the fall scenery until he woke up and joined us for a cup of hot chocolate and the trip home. We'll definitely figure out a way to work the wagon into the mix again this year! Thanks for swinging by my blog. I added you to my reader and put you on my Technorati favorites list, too!
