We’re going to Napa, baby!!
So, last Saturday my friend Olivia from Baby Candy, Congrats from Colorado and CPSIA Cheerleader and I went to a benefit for the hemophilia society put on by our friend Kathryn from Bruz Wear. Kathryn’s son, Nicholas, an energetic little guy, has a bleeding disorder. (Click here to read Kathryn’s inspiration for starting Bruz Wear – it’s a great story).
Anyway, to make a long story short, Olivia and I decided to buy a raffle ticket for the grand prize – a trip to Napa complete with airfare, hotel accomodations, private wine tour and a hot air balloon ride! I am a firm believer in positive thinking and I kept saying to Olivia that we were going to win. I even told the woman who took the ticket that I had put some “mojo” on it and that it was bound to be the winning ticket. And guess what??? We won! I have never in my life won anything at a raffle or auction so I almost feel over, even after all my professing that we were going to win, when we actually did! While the trip was couched as a “romatic getaway” (yeah, that sounds really great to those of us who are single!!!) we are turning it into a girls’ weekend and the three of us, Olivia, Kathryn and myself are going. The last couple of months have been a bit challenging for all of us in the kids industry so a trip to Napa sounds pretty good! Now to coordinate everyone’s schedules and get the trip booked!!
